Abstract

The primary objective of this research paper is to delve into the widespread occurrence and effects of content duplication and overlap within open access databases, particularly focusing on materials related to the realms of science and technology. Through this study, an in-depth analysis will be conducted to uncover the root causes, prevalent patterns, and resulting impacts of duplicated and overlapping content. Furthermore, this paper will put forth a series of recommended strategies aimed at database administrators, researchers, and policymakers to effectively address and reduce the occurrence of these issues in the future.
